Kate Middleton - Kate Middleton And Prince William Are Over-exposed, Says Prince Charles
Kate Middleton may suffer the same difficulties as Princess Diana, and is in danger of 'overshadowing' other members of the Royal family, according to Prince Charles. Much has been written and Kate Middleton and Prince William's recent high profile visit to North America, but the word is that Prince Charles was not fully supportive of the idea, according to the Daily Mirror. The newly-weds were splashed across every front page, appeared on every news channel, and had a-list celebs queuing up to meet them, including Tom Hanks, Nicole Kidman and Jennifer Lopez.
An insider close to Charles told the Daily Mirror that although he was glad that the couple received the same rapturous welcome that he and Diana received on their 1983, he also compared the trip to his and Camilla's gruelling tour of Canada two years ago, which attracted moderate crowds and got little press attention. Royal Author Phil Dampier told the Mirror: "Charles felt overshadowed by Diana and now it seems he feels overshadowed by their son. Some people may think he is jealous. I have always felt that as soon as William got married, Charles would feel sidelined. He went on to say: "From that moment people would be less interested in what he has to say on issues such as the environment and architecture if, on the same day, Kate is wearing a new dress." The issue of improving Charles and Camilla's image is said to have been discussed in Downing Street, with politicians mindful of the fact that it will not be long before Charles becomes king.
