Kate Bush - Kate Bush To Release Snow Themed Album
Kate Bush is to release a new album which is entirely themed around snow.
Entitled 50 Words For Snow, the album will "feature seven brand new tracks set against a background of falling snow" according to the singer's website. The 53-year-old songwriter recorded 50 Words For Snow along with her latest release, Director's Cut which was released in May. Speaking to the BBC Bush spoke about her experiences during the recording process, "It's very frustrating the albums take as long as they do. I wish there weren't such big gaps between them." The Wuthering Heights hit maker also denied being a perfectionist in the recording studio "I don't think I am," adding "people have said this, but I don't think I really want anything to be perfect. I think it's important that things are flawed."
Kate Bush was born in Kent and signed her first recording contract with EMI at the age of 16 after being recommended by Pink Floyd's David Gilmour. She released her debut album, The Kick Inside in 1978 and has gone onto release eight further albums, she has also enjoyed critical success and has won a BRIT award for Best British Female Solo Artist in 1987. She has also has moved into the film industry and has written as well as appeared in several movies including The Line, The Cross and The Curve in 1993, a fantasy story of a struggling dancer.
