Cnn - Kat Williams Says He Is Not Sorry For Rant
KAT WILLIAMS who has recently come under criticism following his confrontation with an audience member has claimed he did not issue a written apology.
"I meant what I said and I said what I meant" the comedian told Cnn and claimed the written apology did not come from him and it's not the first time his management has made a decision without him. "They put a DVD called KAT WILLIAMS: 9 Lives out while I was in jail without my permission." The comedian was the subject of controversy recently as he was heckled at a gig in Phoenix, Arizona and got into an argument with the Mexican audience member. "I don't think I need to apologize for being pro-American. The guy said that all of Arizona is still Mexico, and I was giving him geography. I wasn't there to make racial conversation; I was there to tell a joke."
The 40-year-old comedian was born in Ohio, he first began performing stand up as a child in his local neighbourhood but his comedy career took off after appearing on BET's Comic View, he later went onto appear as a supporting character in movies such as Friday After Next and Young American Gangstas, the story of a troubled hit man who must kill an undercover cop to find his mother's killer. He has also appeared on several albums and collaborated with such artists as Lil Kim, The Game and LUDACRIS.
