'Fire' hitmakers Kasabian hope to become as successful as Manchester rockers Oasis and perform a string of sell-out hometown shows.
Kasabian have been inspired by Oasis' successful hometown concerts.
Guitarist Serge Pizzorno has revealed he wants to copy the 'Wonderwall' hitmakers success by one day playing a string of large shows in Leicester, where they bandmates grew up.
Kasabian, also consisting of Tom Meighan, Chris Edwards, Ian Matthews and Jay Mehler, supported Oasis at their three sell-out shows at Manchester's Heaton Park last week, on June 4, 6 and 7.
Serge says the rockers are now inspired to aim for similar headline shows of their own.
He told BBC Newsbeat: "It'd be amazing to do it in Leicester one day. That city would never have seen anything like it."
The guitarist also revealed the two bands bonded before the shows by enjoying a country ride in Liam's helicopter.
Serge added: "We had some dinner by a lake - a good chat, a good catch up, it was great.
"Seeing England from a helicopter is kind of strange as well, you get a real of sense of where you're from and the nation."
Oasis were forced to abandon their set at Heaton Park during their first gig on Thursday (04.06.09) due to a faulty electricity generator, however, Saturday and Sunday's went without a hitch.
