Kara Dioguardi - Kara Dioguardi To Speak About Idol Exit In Memoirs
KARA DIOGUARDI, the 39-year-old American singer-songwriter who has penned tracks for the likes of KYLIE MINOGUE and KELLY CLARKSON, will speak about her as yet unexplained exit from American Idol in her forthcoming memoirs, reports the Post Chronicle.
Publishers Harper Collins have confirmed that the book, entitled, 'A Helluva High Note: Surviving Life, Love, and American Idol', will be released in April 2011 and will cover DioGuardi's, "life and career as a producer, songwriter, an artist". The 39-year-old served as a judge on seasons eight and nine of American Idol, but surprisingly left the show earlier this year, fuelling rumours that she had been sacked. Judge ELLEN DEGENERES had also departed as a judge just months earlier. DioGuardi is yet to explain the reasons behind her departure and it is thought that she will address the issue in the forthcoming memoirs.
Since leaving 'Idol', DioGuardi has been working on a new singing competition named 'Going Platinum' which is set to air on Bravo in 2011. In 2008, the songwriter was appointed as executive vice-president of talent development at Warner Bros Records, and was responsible for signings acts such as JASON DERULO and IYAZ.
