Kanye West will reveal his first womens wear collection during this year's (2011) Paris Fashion week.
The rapper's designs will be part of the official schedule and will take to the catwalk at 9.30pm on October 1st according to Harper's Bizarre magazine, immediately after Jean Paul Gauliter, contrary to reports that College Dropout star would only present his range to key editors only. The exact details of the collection are being kept highly secret but so far have gained a lot of attention and generated excitement within the fashion world.
Kanye West was born in Atlanta, Georgia but moved to Chicago at an early age following his parent's divorce. He first began his musical career by producing Chicago rapper Grav's first album in 1996. Although this album did not attract much attention it set West on his path and a year later helped produce several tracks on JAY-Z's album The Dynasty: Roc La Familia. However, it was not until he produced JAY-Z's The Bueprint did West gain critical acclaim and significant attention. After this success the producer moved into the recording studio himself and released his debut album The College Dropout in 2004 which established him as a hip-hop superstar. West has since gone onto release a further 5 albums including the most recent, Watch the Throne, a collaboration between himself and JAY-Z.
