Gloria Allred is representing the paparazzi photographer suing Kanye West.
Daniel Ramos, the paparazzi photographer who claims Kanye West gave him a beat down at the Los Angeles International Airport, has hired notorious celebrity lawyer Gloria Allred to handle his case.
Ramos claims he was punched by the rapper and was wrestled to the ground, filing a lawsuit as a victim of assault, battery and negligence whilst also claiming his civil rights were violated.
"I told him twice, 'I don't want to fight you'," Ramos said. "However, he attacked me anyway."
This whole thing is pretty fishy. Just last week, the Los Angeles attorney's office deemed that Kanye should not be charged given there was no real injury to Ramos. However, at a press conference on Wednesday announcing the lawsuit, the photographer said he was left in crutches, according to TMZ.com.
Ramos - who called himself a "filmmaker" - says he spent two weeks on crutches, and has been walking with the aid of a cane for some time.
Allred - dubbed the "long time master of the press conference" by the New Republic - has represented clients suing various high profile individuals, including Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sacha Baron Cohen, and Esai Morales.
On Wednesday, she argued that the alleged attack sets a dangerous precedent, especially now that various celebrities are actually celebrating apparently unprovoked attacks.
Kirstie Alley, Cher and Kylie Jenner all applauded Kanye's scuffle on Twitter.
