The Vaccines - Justin Young's Throat Issues Force Band To Scrap U.s. Tour
The Vaccines frontman Justin Young's ongoing throat problems have cost the band a U.S. tour.
The group was scheduled to join Young Buffalo for dates throughout September (11), but now all concerts have been scrapped after Young announced he had to undergo surgery again to fix the problem.
The singer/guitarist underwent an operation in January (11) and the Post Break-Up Sex stars called off several concerts to allow him time to recover.
But the problems with his voice have returned, forcing the band to cancel shows in Holland, Austria and Northern Ireland earlier this month (Aug11) - and Young has now revealed he faces further surgery.
He says, "I have got to have another operation on my voice. I keep getting haemorrhages and I get lumps. It's really disgusting but my vocal cords can't shut properly and then I can't sing."
And now the U.S. tour has been called off with a spokesperson stating, "Due to medical reasons within The Vaccines camp, Young Buffalo and The Vaccines regretfully have to cancel their fall tour together."
