Is Justin Timberlake's 'Tunnel Vision' Unrated Video A Publicity Stunt? [Video]

Justin Timberlake's 'Tunnel Vision' video - the unrated version - has been banned by YouTube for violating the website's nudity and sexual content policy.

The pop star released a promo for his new song earlier this week, which featured various nude women standing behind him as he performed - not unlike Robin Thicke's Blurred lines unrated video.

According to MTV, the video also featured a projection screen which played over the bodies of the women. Timberlake - who's returning album The 20/20 Experience was a monumental success - had warned fans on Twitter that the music video was a little bit raunchy and YouTube duly removed it from the site. He said, "Check out the new video for Tunnel Vision and be ready...it's explicit."

Now, when fans visit the page, a message reads, "This video has been removed as a violation of YouTube's policy on nudity or sexual content."

Blurred Lines - another video banned from YouTube for its sexual content - featured the noted model Emily Ratajkowski, though it faced allegations of sexism while helping the song become a chart hit. The director, Diane Martel, defended the promo during an interview with Grantland, saying, "Look at Emily Ratajkowski's [the brunette] performance; it's very, very funny and subtly ridiculing. That's what is fresh to me. It also forces the men to feel playful and not at all like predators. I directed the girls to look into the camera, this is very intentional and they do it most of the time; they are in the power position. I don't think the video is sexist."

'Tunnel Vision' is the third single from The 20/20 Experience which follows the smash hit singles 'Suit and Tie' feat. Jay-Z and 'Mirrors'. Whether the banned video creates extra buzz for a run in the charts remains to be seen.
