Justin Timberlake's new MySpace impresses
Justin Timberlake's new-look MySpace has received positive reviews.
The singer-and-actor took to his twitter account to post a two-minute teaser video of MySpace 2.0 - which he has invested in - and he joined Chris and Tim Vanderhook, who bought the company in July 2011, in Los Angeles yesterday (24.09.12) to show off the design.
The new format focuses on emerging artists, who can use the social networking site as a platform to get discovered and connect with their fans, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Addressing the 800 employees in attendance, Tim said: ''In a single sentence, it's a social network for the creative community to connect to their fans.
''We're going after artists, right after this we'll be talking to various artists to come on the platform. We want to give them a chance to help build it with us. We're really far along, but we really want that last twenty per cent to really be crafted by more people like Justin that actually know the tools and things that they need.''
Justin revealed he will be using his contacts to get some big-name artists on board, but he didn't reveal which stars he is going to ask.
