Justin Bieber - Justin Bieber To Appear At Cmts
Justin Bieber and Shania Twain have been confirmed to appear at this year's CMT Awards.
Justin Bieber and Shania Twain will appear at this year's CMT Awards.
'Baby' singer Justin - usually categorised as a pop singer - scored his first ever CMT nomination in the Collaborative Video of the Year category for his duet with Rascall Flatts, 'That Should be Me', while country legend Shania will present an award, the first time she has appeared at the ceremony in seven years.
Also confirmed to appear at the awards are 'American Idol' winner Scotty McCreery and the talent show's runner-up, Lauren Alaina, as well as Train, Keith Urban, Lady Antebellum, Sugarland, Toby Keith, Rascal Flatts, and the Incognito Banditos.
In the awards stakes Lady Antebellum, Taylor and Rascal Flatts lead proceedings with nods in three award categories, while Carrie Underwood is up for two trophies.
Carrie looks forward to the CMTs because she loves hanging around with the other people in the country music genre, as they are all so down to earth.
She told the Fox All Access blog: "I think it is the least affected genre of music. It's real people. These people really are the most normal people you could possibly ever hope to be around. They're your neighbors, they're your friends, they're people you work with."
Kid Rock will return as the show's main host when the awards take place on June 8 in Nashville, Tennessee.
