No Apologies: Justin Bieber Claims He Was Due On-Stage In London At 9:35pm

Justin Bieber offered only a half apology to fans at his sold out concert at London's O2 Arena on Monday night (March 4, 2013), blaming technical issues for his delay. Many had claimed Bieber was almost two hours late on-stage, leaving many families to miss their rides home, though the 19-year-old took to Twitter to clear up the evening's schedule.

"Last night I was scheduled after 3 opening acts to go on stage at 935 not 830 but because of some technical issues I got on at 10:10," he wrote, adding, "There is no excuse and I apologise for anyone we upset. However it was great show and I'm proud of that." Many critics quite rightly argued that 10.10pm was too late for a show mainly catering to young teens and children. Fans began arriving for the sold-out concert when the doors opened at 6.30pm and there were audible boos almost an hour before he emerged (9.10pm), with many assuming he was due on-stage at 8.30pm. "I never have any intent to upset or let anyone down. And I'm not okay with things being exaggerated. Once again sorry for anyone upset," added Bieber.

The O2 Arena maintain that Bieber was scheduled to come on stage at 9.30pm following performances from the likes of Carly Rae Jepsen and Cody Simpson.
