Justin Bieber has denied he is a dad, claiming allegations made by a 20-year-old fan are completely false. Nevertheless, the Canadian pop sensation could be forced to take a paternity test, after a woman filed a serious lawsuit stating he was the father of her three-month-old child, reports Tmz.com.
Speaking to his Twitter followers on Wednesday (2nd November 2011), Bieber said, "all the rumours . . . the gossip . . . . Im gonna focus on the positives . . . . the music". However, his lawyers appear to be taking a more direct approach to denying the 'gossip', with his spokesman saying, "We will vigorously pursue all available legal remedies to defend and protect Justin against these allegations". The Bieber camp have also labelled the allegations, "malicious, defamatory, and demonstrably false". The claims relate to Justin's sold out concert at the Staples Centre in 2010, after which the woman claims to have slept with the singer. True or not, the rumours will be a headache for Bieber and his girlfriend Selena Gomez who have dealt with a wave of media attention since going public with their relationship at a Vanity Fair party earlier this year.
An initial hearing concerning the lawsuit has been set for December, although it is not clear whether the superstar singer is required to appear in court.
