Justin Bieber may be one of the biggest stars on the planet but he also proved that he was more than happy to make a fool of himself in front of a television audience when appearing at the at the annual Kids' Choice Awards in Los Angeles over the weekend. Bieber's new single 'Boyfriend' shows a marked change in direction for the 18 year-old, a move towards a mature sound; for now though, at least, he's still very much the children's favorite and was in town to scoop the award for favorite male singer.
However, this wouldn't be the Kids' Choice Awards without some wackiness and it was duly delivered to the singer in viscous nuclear green form as he was accepting his award from actor Will Smith. Smith too was a recipient of the gunk and both took it in good humor, reports the Bbc, with the 'Men In Black' man telling Bieber "No-one is safe from the slime. You have to earn the slime. It's an honor."
At least the star can take consolation in the fact he was far from the only award winner to take a hit in the evening. Taylor Lautner won the Favourite Buttkicker Award for his role in 'Twilight' but also took a good dose of the green stuff, whilst 'Glee's' Chris Colfer found his clothes similarly ruined whilst presenting an award.
