Michael Jackson - Jury Finalised For Michael Jackson Trial
The trial of Michael Jackson's former doctor DR CONRAD MURRAY will face a jury of 12 people, it has emerged. It will feature, among others, a male who briefly met the singer when working at a Disney Theme Park in 1980, a bookseller, a school bus driver and a professor. There are seven men and five women on the jury, which the Scotsman reports one juror was selected by a process akin to "speed dating."
The opening arguments begin on Tuesday, with Friday (23/9) having been the first day of direct questioning. It brings a long-awaited start to a trial that will term whether Murray administered a fatal dose of anaesthetic propofol to the singer or whether Jackson took it himself. The final dozen jurors have been whittled down from a potential 370, each having been asked to answer a 30-page long questionnaire.
The finalisation of the jury line-up comes as the organisation of a tribute concert to the pop star nears completion, with The Hollywood Reporter confirming that THE BLACK-EYED PEAS have been added to a line-up that already includes Christina Aguilera, Leona Lewis, Smokey Robinson and Cee Lo Green, among others. The concert takes place in Wales, at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium, on October 8th.
In further Jackson-related news, The People reports that his son PRINCE Michael Jackson took to the stage at a Tribute to Bamby charity night in Berlin on Friday (23/9.) The 14 year-old donated three hand-written manuscripts of his father's hits, 'Bad,' 'Billie Jean' and 'Smooth Criminal.'
