Juliette Binoche - Juliette Binoche Reveals Acting Doubts
French star Juliette Binoche has twice considered giving up acting after becoming convinced her career was on the slide.
The brunette beauty found fame in the 1980s and worked constantly before starring in 1991's Les Amants du Pont-Neuf.
Binoche admits the project was "difficult" and made her want to quit the industry, but she carried on and scored hits with The English Patient and Chocolat.
However, Binoche once again suffered a crisis of confidence around the time of 2005's Cache, admitting all she wanted to do was focus on her family.
She tells Britain's Psychologies magazine, "I've been through two periods of 'non-desire', of nothing. The first was after I made Les Amants du Pont-Neuf. Filming had been difficult and I'd had enough of the cinema, of everything.
"It happened again, just before I made Cache, in 2005. Projects kept falling through and it felt as if I'd come to a standstill. The only thing that mattered was looking after my children."
