Julianne Moore - Julianne Moore: 'My Career Is Down To Luck'
Julianne Moore admits she is ''so lucky'' to continue to get good movie roles, and doesn't want to ''fall into the ditch of not working''.
Julianne Moore feels "grateful" to still be getting good roles.
The 50-year-old actress - who is currently starring in 'Crazy, Stupid, Love' with Steve Carell and Ryan Gosling - continues to "hope" to get good roles otherwise and continues to work so she doesn't "fall into that ditch" of being out of a job.
She said: "I feel tremendously grateful. I feel so lucky all the time to have had the opportunities that I've had, and that's what I had hoped would happen when I started acting. You don't want to fall into that ditch of not working, so I'm just trying to keep looking ahead and hope that the jobs keep coming."
Despite her appearances in comedic films including 'The Kids are All Right' and 'The Big Lebowski', the flame-haired star is not surprised if cinemagoers do not think of her as funny, mostly because she is better known for her more dramatic turns, although humorous roles may be on the increase for her in the future.
She told Buzzinefilm.com "Hopefully I'm funny in 'Crazy, Stupid, Love'. I think I was funny in 'The Kids are All Right' and 'The Big Lebowski' and 'Cookies Fortune'. Obviously the bulk of my 55 movies have leaned toward dramatic, but that doesn't mean I don't like comedy. I always say the older you get, the less appealing tragedy becomes.
