The court case against Britney Spears and her parents by her former manager Sam Lufti has finally been dismissed due to lack of appropriate evidence.

The singer was taken to court for an alleged breach of contract after Lufti had worked for her in 2007 and 2008 following meeting each other in a nightclub and was promised 15% of her wages which he never received. Lynne Spears, Britney's mother, also had a lawsuit filed against her for defamation after accusing him of manipulating her daughter, plying her with drugs which he mixed in with her food and cutting her off from her family during the period where the star suffered a well-publicized breakdown. Jamie Spears, Britney's father, was the third person Lufti attempted to sue, alleging that he assaulted him when Britney was admitted to hospital.

Despite these accusations, Lufti failed to disclose any evidence and Judge Suzanne Bruguera was forced to throw out the case. 'I really thought long and hard', she began before she revealed her verdict. 'It's the right thing to do, so I am going to do it.' Lufti has, however, claimed that he will appeal the ruling but is yet to obtain any proof of his accusations.
