Judge Relaxes Restraining Order Against Sheen So He Can Visit Sick Wife
CHARLIE SHEEN has been given permission to break the restraining order against him and nurse his wife through a bout of pneumonia.
The actor and his wife Brooke Mueller have been estranged since a Christmas Day (25Dec09) fight, which landed him in jail in Aspen, Colorado, but now the judge who ordered Sheen to stay away from the real estate agent has agreed to relax the order.
The judge agreed to a request to sign an emergency order allowing Sheen to visit Mueller in hospital in Los Angeles.
The new order allows the actor to communicate with his estranged wife while she is in hospital - unless his wife asks him to leave.
Sheen reportedly showed up at the hospital shortly after hearing his wife had been admitted on Wednesday (20Jan10), but was turned away because of the existing court order.
Mueller was admitted to intensive care with a fever of 105 degrees.
The estranged couple is scheduled to meet with the Aspen judge on Friday (22Jan10) to discuss the status of the restraining order against Sheen.
Their lawyers are reportedly trying to get the court date moved to next month (Feb10).
