The soul singer was among the guests at Westminster Abbey who looked on as the heir to the British throne wed longtime love Kate Middleton, now the Duchess of Cambridge, and she admits she was overcome with emotion on the big day.

She says, "It was lovely. I just went to the church and it was the most amazing wedding I've ever been to. When those things happen, I'm like, 'I'm so glad I'm English'."

Stone has yet to meet William's bride, but she's convinced she'll like her - because she enjoys the prince and his brother Harry's company so much.

She adds, "They're such lovely people... They are really funny and they make me laugh."
