Jordison: 'Slipknot Will Rock On Without Gray'

Masked rockers SLIPKNOT are to continue following the death of bassist PAUL GRAY.

Frontman Corey Taylor revealed he and his bandmates would take the summer (10) to decide whether to forge ahead without Gray, who died following an accidental overdose in May (10) - and now drummer Joey Jordison has confirmed there will be another Slipknot album.

Jordison tells the Des Moines Register newspaper that he's still mourning the passing of his "best friend" and "musical soulmate", but the band will rock on without him.

He says, "There will be another Slipknot record... but... there aren't any replacements. Everyone in the band plays bass and can play guitar. We'll get to that point when we get there. But I want everyone to know... that Slipknot will return.

"Paul would never want us to not make another Slipknot record."

And the tragedy has hammered home just how close Jordison came to a tragic end: "I've been done with that stuff for three years. I thought it was all fun and games, but it's not.

"After I got done with my tour with Korn (in 2007), I really went for it... It caught up with me, and that's it. I just stopped. Life is definitely a lot more precious now. Music right now, really, when I play it, it's like I'm playing it for all the people that I've lost. I think about them all the time."
