Jordin Sparks - Jordin Sparks Pays Tribute To The Late Whitney Houston

Jordin Sparks ' duet with Whitney Houston, 'Celebrate,' was released yesterday (May 21, 2012), Bbc News reports. 'Celebrate' - a disco inspired track - is the final recording made by Houston before she passed away in February and is taken from the movie Sparkle. Both Jordin and Whitney star in the movie, which is a remake of the 1976 film of the same name.
Sparkle tells the story of three sisters who become recording stars with Motown Records. Sparks plays one of the sisters and Houston plays her mother. A trailer for the movie has already been released and the film is scheduled for cinema release in October 2012. The song was released Monday (May 21, 2012), ahead of the film's release. Houston had already enjoyed movie success, with the 1992 film The Bodyguard, starring Kevin Costner. Houston's contributions to the soundtrack for The Bodyguard proved to be some o her best-selling music. The track 'I Will Always Love You,' a Dolly Parton cover, spent 14 weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart; a record, at the time.
