Jones' Movie In Jeopardy After Hassan Scuffle

Filming on VINNIE JONES' new movie BLOOD OUT has reportedly been disrupted amid allegations fellow British actor TAMER HASSAN headbutted him during a brawl.
The two stars clashed at the Chateau Marmont Hotel in Los Angeles on Saturday night (24Apr10), with Jones allegedly landing a punch on the Clash of the Titans actor.
The two men have reportedly been embroiled in a long-running feud, which was sparked by an argument between the pair late last year (09).
And the incident has disrupted filming for new picture Blood Out, which stars both actors - because Jones "doesn't want to work with Tamer" anymore, according to Britain's Daily Mirror.
A source tells the publication. "Vinnie and Tamer have never had an easy relationship. They bickered over New Year and things have gone downhill since then. Now it's all-out war. Vinnie doesn't want to work with Tamer and the feeling is mutual.
"Both men are so integral to the movie, though, so executives are pulling their hair out, trying to come up with a solution.
"At present they have rearranged two days of filming, and postponed shooting the opening scenes where Vinnie and Tamer have lines together. It is far from ideal. They are also offering to further separate the pair's on-set trailers to ensure they are kept at opposite ends of the park."
Filming for Blood Out, which also stars Val Kilmer, is due to start on Friday (30Apr10).

Vinnie Jones Is Diagnosed With Skin Cancer 3969031 News

Vinnie Jones has been diagnosed with skin cancer and has said that he has already had "several lumps" removed from his body as he hopes to rid himself of the disease. The actor has also revealed that his wife, Tanya Jones, is also suffering from skin cancer as he told The Sun that he plans on fighting the disease with "everything I've got."

Vinnie Jones
Ex-footy star Jones blames his outdoor lifestyle for his developing of cancer

The 48-year-old revealed how he noticed what he assumed to be either "a blackhead or a wart" in February this year, but when he finally visited a doctor to have the growth checked, he was diagnosed with the most life-threatening form of skin cancer there is: melanoma. Melanoma kills 1,300 men and 900 women every year and Jones went to say that, despite already having some growths removed, more keep appearing and his battle with the disease is far from over.

"When the doctor said I had skin cancer, the first thing I thought was 'how long have I got?'" he told the tabloid paper, adding, "It's weighing very heavily on me all the time."

Jones went on to say that, following the removal of the tumour under his eye, doctors had found more cancer in the same area and that he has since had a third operation to remove a tumour from the back of his head. He went on to blame his outdoor lifestyle and revealed that his wife, Tanya, is suffering from the same disease as a result of the medication she has taken for the past 26 year following a heart transplant.

Like actor Hugh Jackman, who recently told of his own run-in with cancer, Jones went on to implore people to wear sunscreen in an effort to avoid the same fate, saying, "Footballers never put on sunblock and they should all be wearing it. Kids should all be wearing it every time they play sport."

Escape Plan 3910310 Film Reviews

You know not to expect something deep and meaningful when a movie stars Stallone and Schwarzenegger, and indeed this is pretty much what we expect: a slick thriller that's utterly preposterous but not quite stupid. But the premise has a certain idiotic charm to it, and there are just enough clever touches to keep our brains engaged.

Stallone plays brilliant security expert Breslin, whose job entails being thrown into maximum-security prisons so he can find the weakness in the system. Clearly unbothered by being beaten and brutalised by guards and inmates, Breslin is backed up by a support crew (Ryan and Jackson) and his business partner (D'Onofrio) back in the office. But now the CIA wants Breslin to check out its new top-secret enemy combatant lock-down. To do this, Breslin must go off the grid. And when he realises that the evil warden Hobbes (Caviezel) isn't playing ball, he teams up with brilliant scientist inmate Rottmayer (Schwarzenegger) to, yes, plan an escape.

As the story develops we get the feeling that the screenwriters sat around thinking of ways they could make this prison increasingly impossible to believe. Indeed, one mid-film twist is so incredible that it actually makes us admire the writers' audacity. Arthouse director Halstrom gleefully indulges in all of this silliness, keeping the imagery sharp and cool while name-checking pretty much every cliche of both prison and heist movies. There's even a bit of political context in the way a private contractor is abusing the system to profit from the War on Terror.

Of course Stallone (67) and Schwarzenegger (66) are far too old to be playing these roles, but their boyish enthusiasm and over-pumped physiques make them an enjoyable duo. They clearly enjoy sparring both verbally and physically, and their riotously inane scheming is a lot more fun than their big-gun Expendables machismo. Of the supporting cast, only Caviezel registers due to his relentless sliminess. So we know that he won't merely admit defeat in the end. You could probably write this in your sleep, but the big finale is so mindlessly overwrought that you might even crack a smile.

Tarantino's Next Door Neighbour Vinnie Jones Blasts UK Immigration Policy 3846880 News

Vinnie Jones, the Welsh footballer turned actor who now lives next door to Quentin Tarantino in Los Angeles, plays golf six times a week and has crisps shipped in from the UK, has blasted England's immigration policy, calling the country "past its sell-by date."

The 48-year-old, best known for Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, told the Radio Times that he could never be tempted back to Britain.

"There's nothing to come back to here. To me, England is past its sell-by date," he told the magazine. "It's not the country I grew up in. It's a European country now. If someone blindfolded you and put you on a plane in LA, and you landed at Heathrow and they took it off, you wouldn't have a clue where you were."

Jones's views appear to slot in nicely with those of the right-wing party UKIP - who have enjoyed huge success in local elections - though the former football said he was unfamiliar with Nigel Farage's outfit, merely saying, "I just think we should get our own house in order before we open our doors. It's mind-boggling to me."

Jones lives next door to the Pulp Fiction director on the famed Mulholland Drive and - while being interviewed in Britain - said, "The weather here is depressing. People say you can get bored of the sunshine in LA. No, you can't.I play golf six days a week, and I've still got my football team, the Hollywood All-Stars. Those are my two main things."

Known for his aggression on the pitch, Jones remains equally determined never to return to his homeland permanently - saying he can get all his former home comforts on the west coast.

"We can get all that in LA, though you sometimes have to pay through the roof for it. A bottle of Ribena is 14 dollars," he said. "But I get my Walkers crisps delivered once a month. I have a box of Roast Chicken, a box of Salt and Vinegar, and a box of Monster Munch...And there's more Premier League football on TV there than there is here."

Ray Breslin is an expert in structural-security and has been able to break out of every prison he has been placed in using highly skilled and unusual methods. However, when he is asked to design an escape proof prison for the country's biggest life-sentenced felons, he finds himself betrayed when he is subsequently kidnapped and incarcerated by a masked figure in that prison with no way of getting out. It is there he befriends Swan Rottmayer; a smart but aggressive inmate who takes a shine to Ray when he explains his determination to escape. Swan agrees to help, but this time it's going to take more than just clever methods to break free and find the people who double-crossed him.

This high-energy action mystery thriller sees a cast of the biggest action movie favourites go criminal in what looks to be a hardcore version of 'The Shawshank Redemption'. It is directed by Mikael Hafstrom ('Evil', '1408', 'The Rite') and written by Jason Keller ('Machine Gun Preacher', 'Mirror Mirror: The Untold Adventures of Snow White') and Miles Chapman, and it doubles as an almost 'How-To' guide in prison breaking. 'Escape Plan' is set to be released in UK on September 27th 2013.

Josh Duhamel, Rosario Dawson and Bruce Willis Fight 'Fire with Fire' (Trailer) 3531016 News

Taken and its wildly successful sequel have paved the way for revenge thrillers. Fire With Fire is the latest in this trend and with an impressive cast including stars Bruce Willis, Josh Duhamel and Rosario Dawson, one would hope it will prove to be a rip-roaring ride of suspense and intense action.

The story follows Jeremy, a firefighter who, through a stroke of terrible luck, witnesses the murder of a boy and his father in a store committed by an Ayran crime mob boss through apparently racial motives. Jeremy identifies Hagan, the man who committed the murders, in a lineup but Hagan lets Jeremy know that he knows exactly who he is by reciting his name, address and social security number. In the run up to the trial Jeremy needs to change his name and enter a witness protection programme when he begins a romantic relationship with a member of the police force. It all goes belly up though and he ends up saying words very similar to those heard in Taken, "I'm gonna find you, I'm gonna kill you.... to hell with witness protection, you're gonna need protection from me."

Oh dramatic! Despite its promising cast, which in addition to the above also includes Vinnie Jones, and 50 Cent (who is also a producer) it actually looks utterly terrible. Sometimes 'utterly terrible' is endearing and still exciting, but with a story line that seems a little confused and a script that appears to be made out of entirely re-written cliches, we're holding out little hope. Regardless of whether it's good or bad, it'll be released in the UK on March 8th.

Jeremy Coleman is a firefighter who is looking forward to a night of celebrations with his workmates after a particularly taxing day on the job. However, as he stops by a convenience store to pick up some snacks his life takes a horrific turn when a racist gangster by the name of David Hagan shoots dead the owner and his son. Jeremy manages to escape scot-free and is able to identify the killer through a two way mirror at the police station. However, Hagan wastes no time in letting him know that he knows who he is and where to find him so Jeremy is put under witness protection under the name of Jeremy Douglas. He soon becomes romantically attached to his FBI escort Talia Durham so when she is nearly shot dead by one of Hagan's men, Jeremy ignores police orders and vows to hunt his adversary down.

Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted 3334049 Film Reviews

Instead of developing the characters or situations for comedy gold, the filmmakers instead just crank up the chaos. So while some scenes are both funny and visually impressive, this second sequel is simply too inane to make us hope there will be a part 4. Very young kids may be distracted by the hectic pacing and hyperactive characters, but everyone else will quickly be bored by the nonstop mayhem, simply because there's nothing interesting going on.

Anxious lion Alex (Stiller), chatty zebra Marty (Rock), nerdy giraffe Melman (Schwimmer) and silly hippo Gloria (Smith) are living a Lion King-style existence in Africa, although their only hope for escape has just flown away. Namely, the brainy penguins and their monkey assistants. So our heroes follow them to Monaco, where they all end up on the run from the notorious animal control agent Dubois (McDormand). They run straight into a failing circus, which they set out to bring back to its glory days so they can catch the eye of an American promoter and go home to New York. To do this means working with the current circus acts: sultry cheetah Gia (Chastain), dorky sea lion Stefano (Short) and tetchy tiger Vitaly (Cranston).

The circus premise lets the filmmakers have a lot of visual fun with the characters, most notably in a riotously colourful Cirque du Soleil-on-acid performance in London. But the plot makes no sense at all (if they can get to Monaco, surely they could get to New York, right?), and there are so many new characters that the central quartet feels almost sidelined. Especially since they've also wedged in an under-developed romance for the lemur king (Baron Cohen). Yes, it's all over the place, and being busy is not the same thing as being clever or funny.

Fortunately, the animators keep our eyes happy, with some witty 3D gags and an elaborately staged finale that pieces together elements from the entire film. The vocal cast is full of energy, and yet the only one who's allowed to develop anything like a character is McDormand, whose Dubois is essentially just a collection of French cliches (she even sings that Edith Piaf number at one point). We're never bored for a second, but we're also never engaged. If there is a part 4, hopefully the filmmakers will take the time to actually write a proper script.

It's a completely reimagined thriller based on the same series of comics, a surprisingly intelligent blockbuster, and a rare 18-certificate film that topped the UK box office chart a couple of weeks back.</p><p>Meanwhile, this week's big release in Britain is <a href="http://www.contactmusic.com/movie-review/killing-them-softly" target="_blank" >Killing Them Softly, a sardonic 1970s-style hitman thriller that reunites Brad Pitt with Australian director Andrew Dominik</a> (The Assassination of Jesse James).</p><p>Pitt also had this week's top casting news, as it emerged that he will star in and produce a movie about the role computer company IBM played in helping the Nazi government. It's based on a book titled IBM and the Holocaust.<div align="center" style="width:200;float:right;margin-top:10px;

Meanwhile, fans can visit the saga's official website and edit the trailer to have their favourite from five possible endings.</p><p>For those looking for a bit of escapism, a new trailer for the <a href="http://www.contactmusic.com/video/you-may-not-kiss-the-bride-trailer" target="_blank" >You May Not Kiss the Bride reveals a lively film that starts as a cute rom-com with Brothers & Sisters' Dave Annable and Smash's Katherine McPhee</a>, then turns into a wacky action thriller with Vinnie Jones. Brian is a highly ordinary pet photographer who clashes with formidable Croatian crime kingpin Vadik Nikitin following an unforeseen incident. Nikitin seizes the opportunity and blackmails Brian into marrying his daughter Masha in return for not killing him. The marriage is set to be strictly on paper, with no consummation, so she can get US citizenship but Brian's infatuated assistant Tonya is heartbroken nonetheless. Brian and Masha are sent to Tahiti on their honeymoon where they unexpectedly fall in love; their romance looks set to have a fairytale ending before Masha is suddenly kidnapped. Brian sets out to rescue her with Tonya and two eccentric hotel workers, Ernesto and Lani, with Masha's jealous English suitor and right-hand man to Nikitin, Brick, hot on their tails.

This side-splitting Rom Com has got to be the least serious love story to come out this year with stereotypical gangster action and a cheesy but cheerful meant-to-be romance. Directed and written by Rob Hedden (writer for 'The Condemned' and 'Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan'), the delightfully charming 'You May Not Kiss The Bride' will not fail to amuse audiences anywhere on its scheduled cinema release this autumn on September 21st 2012.

Starring: Katharine McPhee, Dave Annable, Mena Suvari, Rob Schneider, Tia Carrere, Vinnie Jones, Ken Davitianv, and Kathy Bates.

Directed by: Rob Hedden
