Vinnie Jones - Jones Fronts Cpr Campaign
Movie hardman Vinnie Jones is fronting a new health campaign in his native Britain to promote a life-saving resuscitation technique.
The Snatch actor stars in the promotional drive for the British Heart Foundation's latest campaign, which aims to teach the public about a "kiss-free" alternative to mouth-to-mouth resuscitation.
Bosses at the organisation advise using the rhythm of the Bee Gees hit Stayin' Alive when carrying out the procedure, and Jones demonstrates the technique in a video for the campaign.
In the clip, he says, "I'm going to teach you a lesson you'll never forget. There are times in life when being tough comes in handy. Say some geezer (man) collapses in front of you, what do you do?
"First call 999, then you do hands-only Cpr - and no kissing. You only kiss your missus on the lips. Lock your fingers together, knuckles up, then push down right on the (chest). Push hard and fast about two times a second, like to the beat of Stayin' Alive. Hands-only Cpr - it ain't as hard as it looks."
Speaking about the campaign, he adds, "There really shouldn't be any messing about when it comes to Cpr. If you're worried about the kiss of life just forget it and push hard and fast in the centre of the chest. Hands-only Cpr should give have-a-go heroes the confidence to step in and help when somebody is in cardiac arrest."
