Jonas Swaps Fame Stories With Costello
Pop star NICK JONAS was left starstruck after getting the chance to interview his idol ELVIS COSTELLO for a U.S. magazine recently, branding the experience "amazing".
The pair sat down for a chat for Rolling Stone earlier this year (08), when Jonas shared his experiences of fame with the rocker.
But The Jonas Brothers star was stunned to discover that his own encounters with fans have been vastly different from what Costello experienced during his 1970s and '80s heyday.
Jonas explained: "(Fame)'s definitely something to get used to - it's a shock to all of us. At times, it does get a little frustrating, but for the most part we have a good team that helps us keep it all together. As far as fans go: The only difficult thing is when they go in our house. That's, I mean, it's kind of odd for anybody, I think."
But Costello, who used to front his own band The Attractions, had a different story to tell: "I never had to deal with anything that intense, but we were a proper pop group for a while. Around 1978, every single we released in England was a hit. Recently, somewhere in a drawer, my mother found some old teen magazines with a picture of Debbie Harry from Blondie, a picture of Sting, and then there's a picture of me... It was hard to take seriously when it was happening, because I just thought it was so absurd."
