Jon Bon Jovi To Justin Bieber: Don't Be An A**hole
When Jon Bon Jovi is annoyed, he says so.
Like a lot of people in the music industry lately, Jon Bon Jovi had some words of wisdom for Justin Bieber: get your act together. The rocker, who has spent three decades on stage with his band Bon Jovi, has certainly learned a thing or two about the business and about developing a work ethic. "Every generation has guys that do that, none of that is new," the 51-year-old Bon Jovi told the London Evening Standard during a tour stop in Vienna on the European leg of Bon Jovi's Because We Can tour.
Obviously, Bon Jovi knows how to stay in the game.
The comment came after he was asked about Bieber turning up two hours late for a March concert at London's O2 Arena. But Bon Jovi didn’t stop there: "They run the risk of disrespecting their audience members who have worked hard to pay for their ticket, to give you the permission to take two or three hours of their lives—or in that kid's case, 80 minutes of their lives."
As for Bieber... well, he's still here.
Cool story bro. We’re sure the sage advice had nothing to do with Bon Jovi trying to raise some publicity for his own tour. Then again, he does have a point. Granted, the members of JB’s demographic don’t tend to have disposable incomes of their own, hence haven’t exactly “worked hard” for the tickets, but the point still stands. Pay attention, Justin. This is how you last in the music business, not by clowning around and blaming it on your youth.
