Jojo Backs Safe Driving Campaign
The Too Little Too Late hitmaker has voiced telecommunications firm AT&T’s It Can Wait adverts in a bid to discourage drivers from typing behind the wheel.
In one of the clips, she says, "Five seconds - a lot can happen in five seconds. In five seconds you can give a great hug... maybe you can even fall in love in five seconds.
"In five seconds a car going 55 miles per hour travels over 360 feet - that's the length of a football field. A lot can happen in five seconds - a pedestrian can start crossing a street, a car can stop short, a bike can swerve into your lane. Five seconds can be the difference between safety and danger or the difference between life and death.
"So the next time you're driving and want to check your texts, think of all the things five seconds is - a smile, a hug, a car accident, a life. Do you really want to take your eyes off the road for that long?"
