Veteran Australian Singer John Williamson Has Urged Right-wing Protesters Down Under To Stop Using His Anthem True Blue At Their Rallies.
The country music star took to his Facebook.com page to tell fans he has been informed members of the pressure group Reclaim Australia have been playing the song at recent events.
Williamson is adamant he has not given permission for the track to be used and would prefer it if True Blue was associated with promoting "togetherness" instead.
He writes, "I am told that my song True Blue is being used at rallies by various groups including the Reclaim Australia movement. They did not have my approval to use it. I would prefer the song be used to celebrate togetherness in our great country. How about holding a rally for 'Love' and see who turns up. Hatred never solves anything."
