John Williams - John Williams To Be Honoured At Classic Brit Awards

The five-time Oscar winner, who has written the scores for films including Jaws, Star Wars and Superman, will receive a lifetime achievement prize at the annual celebration of classical music.

Classic Brit Awards committee co-chairman DICkon Stainer says, "John Williams has crafted some of the most memorable film scores for over half a century."

The ceremony will take place at London's Royal Albert Hall on 02 October (12). Performers at the event will include opera stars Andrea Bocelli and Nicola Benedetti.
