John Lennon's Tooth Moulded Into New Sculpture
The tragic star's tooth was sold off at the Omega Auction House in Stockport, England last November (11), prompting dentist Michael Zuk to snap up the molar for a whopping $29,783 (£19,000).
The die-hard fan gifted the piece to his artist sister Kirsten, who then decided to feature it in a new sculpture, and now it is set to go on display at the Edmonton International Fringe Festival in Alberta, Canada, this weekend (17-19Aug12).
Kirsten Zuk tells local publication the Edmonton Sun, "I love John Lennon - I've been a huge fan all my life. This is like a time-capsule. It will contain his Dna."
