Joe Jackson So Proud Of His Son

Michael Jackson's father is keen for the world to know just how committed his son was to helping the world's needy - he often sobbed about the children he met.

The pop superstar died on Thursday (25Jun09), amid reports of drug abuse and financial issues, but the pop superstar's father, Joe Jackson, wants the world's media to remember his son for all the good he did.

At a hastily-organised press conference outside the family compound in Encino, California, Jackson told reporters, "He (Jackson) tried his hardest to please everybody... He donated so much money to the sick, he helped the blind... and he was glad to do it.

"I've seen Michael help so many people and sometimes he would go and cry about it because he felt sorry for the people that he was helping.

"I was very proud of my son."

My heart will be eternally broken over the way many people treated Michael while he was here on Earth. No human heart could have done all that he did for children, and then bring harm to them. I truly grieve for the kids that missed out on his kindess and unconditional love because of the narrow mindedness and ignorance of people that chose to believe a lie for money. Those that did this were not advocates for the children. In fact, they harmed them because they cheated those kids; underpriviledged, sick, and healthy; from benefiting from Michael's generosity and unselfish heart. I know he continued to do much for children, but it did effect his ability to do it at the level he wanted to before the accusations. You are the ones that brought the harm, not Michael.
