JLS' fans smash windows and break down doors to get near them.

The boy band have been forced to stay in hotels outside of a five-mile radius of the venues they play on their current tour in order to keep their whereabouts secret from overzealous fans.

They told Irish TV show 'Xpose': ''The hotels can't deal with the fans, they'll rip out everything to get to us. They smash in windows and break down doors and we have to pay for it.''

The decision to move the band's accommodation to outside the city centres is said to have been taken after their last insurance bill was ''astronomical''.

A source said: ''If fans knew they were staying out of town, the insurance were happier to pay out on potential mishaps if their location was found out. Every security breach costs a Fortune in drafting in more support and repairing any damage. The last bill was astronomical.''

The band also revealed their loyal fans have been supportive of singer Marvin Humes' engagement to The Saturdays singer Rochelle Wiseman, and have sent the couple congratulatory messages.

Marvin - who is in the group with Aston Merrygold, Oritsé Williams and J.B. Gill - added: ''The support from the fans for Rochelle has been amazing. We've received letters and twitter messages, it's been wonderful.''
