Jimmy Buffett Lands Eddie Vedder's Jazz Festival Slot

Veteran singer Jimmy Buffett has stepped in to replace Eddie Vedder at an upcoming U.S. jazz festival after the rocker cancelled his concert commitments to undergo surgery.

The Pearl Jam frontman announced last week (ends08Apr12) he is scrapping a number of upcoming shows in order to treat nerve damage he suffered in his right arm following a back injury earlier this year (12).

He was due to play at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival in Louisiana, but Buffett has now signed up to take over his slot on 3 May (12).
