Jessie J - Jessie J Confirms Return To 'The Voice' For Season Two
Jessie J has confirmed that she will carry on as coach for the Bbc talent show, The Voice, reports The Bbc.
Fresh from a starring role in the closing ceremony of the 2012 London Olympics, Jessie J has delighted fans with her announcement on Twitter that she'll still be working on The Voice. The singer tweeted: "The Voice UK Series 2... Are you ready?! I Am ;)" Rumours that she would not be re-joining the panel have been rife, but any fears of a Jessie-free show have been allayed by her recent announcements on the micro-blogging site. "I Will be a coach on the 2nd series of The Voice UK!" followed her earlier tweet, and provided a far more emphatic message. "I'm B B B Back! As I have always said. Unless you hear it from me- Don't always believe what you read! Can't wait!" just in case her fans hadn't quite understood what she was trying to say. Jessie is the first star to reaffirm her intention to carry on with the show, as fellow mentors Will.I.AM, Tom Jones and Danny O'Donoghue remain unconfirmed.
The Voice, a slight play on the popular talent show platform made global by shows like The X-Factor, focuses on the contestant's voices rather than their physical appearances. The judges sit with their backs to the hopefuls, and only get to see them once they've committed based on their vocal performance. The original concept mixed with a proven format proved an instant success, but viewing figures soon dropped and a public rejection from Annie Lennox proved embarrassing for the Bbc production. They'll no doubt be hoping Jessie J's recent loyalty will provide the boost the show needs.
