Jessica Simpson Has Lavish Baby Shower

Jessica Simpson has shared footage of her lavish baby shower with fans.

The 31-year-old singer - who is due to give birth to her first baby with fiancé Eric Johnson imminently - uploaded a video and pictures of last month's lavish baby shower to her website Jessicasimpson.com, which showed her receiving gifts from family and celebrity friends.

Guests at the party included mother-of-two Jessica Alba, who brought her youngest daughter Haven, 'Grey's Anatomy' star Ellen Pompeo and Jessica's sister Ashlee, who was accompanied by her son Bronx, three.

Captioning a picture of herself with her adorable nephew, Jessica - who is expecting a girl - wrote: ''I can't wait until Bronx meets his new cousin.''

A source Us Weekly magazine: ''It was a kid friendly shower with many of her friends bringing babies. She received tons of gifts mostly wrapped in Pink gift wrap and Boxes. There were several books, stuffed toys and clothes among other items.''

The 50 guests were treated to an extravagant buffet featuring Jessica's favourite Southern foods - including fried Oreos and Twinkies at the event which was organised by celebrity event planner Mindy Weiss and inspired by the children's story 'Charlotte's Web'.

Singer, actress and fashion-designer Jessica also revealed creating a family is her greatest achievement.

She wrote:''Creating a family is the best thing I've done in my life, I really Hope I can be half as good of a mom as my mom has been to me.''
