Michael Jackson - Jermaine Jackson Plotted Escape For Michael During 2005 Trial

Michael Jackson's brother Jermaine secretly arranged to fly the star out of the U.S. to Bahrain if he was found guilty of child molestation charges during a 2005 court case - as he feared his sibling "wouldn't survive" jail.
The Thriller legend was accused of child molestation in 2003 in relation to teenager Gavin Arvizo. He was charged with seven counts of child sexual abuse and two counts of administering an intoxicating agent in order to commit alleged felonies against Arvizo.
The singer pleaded not guilty and so the case went to trial. It lasted five months, and Jermaine has now opened up about the difficulties the Jackson family faced during that time.
Jermaine reveals he wanted Michael to escape America if he was sentenced to jail and had even lined up a private jet to fly him to Bahrain.
In his new book, You Are Not Alone: Michael Through A Brother's Eyes, he explains, "I grab the hotel phone and make a call. The person on the other end of the line provides the reassurance that I needed to hear one more time. Yes, the private jet is still available. Yes, it can be at Van Nuys airport. Yes, everything has been arranged.
"All that is required is a day's notice, and this Dc8 will have Michael heading east - to Bahrain - to start a new life away from the scam of American justice.
"After this charade, I'm happy to disown my citizenship and take Michael, and his family, to a place where they can't touch him... We have the backer - a dear friend. We have the pilot. Everything is prepared. There is no way my brother - an innocent man - is going to jail for this, He wouldn't survive, and I cannot sit back and even contemplate the possibility, let alone the reality."
The book has been serialised in Britain's The Times and Jermaine tells the publication, "If they were going to sit and crucify my brother for something that he didn't do, America deserves us not to come back here.
"At the end of the day, this is supposed to be the land of the brave, home of the free, democracy, freedom of speech. The way they were treating him, none of that existed. Why should he go to jail for something he didn't do?"
Michael Jackson was cleared of all charges at his 2005 trial.

Lies , Lies Lies, the Jackson family shows why their brother kept a distance from them. He is trying to sell his book. Michael Jackson would be mortified at the antics of his family. Cash grab galore. They'll say anything.HE WAS ACQUITED, WOULD NOT HAVE EVER NEEDED THIS DISSERVICE.

Jermaine stop making babies, find a proper job , stop living off MIchael's name and stop talking rubbish. Jermine and some of the Michael's sibblings are morons , Michael over the years was helping them , they are so lazy and also were taking adventures of his murky brother. Now after Michae's death everyone is writing a book about Michael and his life and theirs lives , who cares what they have to say??? FIND A JOB!!!!

The court had planned to handcuff Jackson and take him to jail immediately had he been found guilty, certainly the family knew that, the fans did. This story doesn't make any sense. Besides Jackson could have fled the country before the trial ever started.

If they had found Michael guilty he was not going to be sent home he would have been taken into custody immediately. What were they going to do break MJ out of jail?. All these people from Diane Dimond, MJ's un-spiritual Rabbi adviser to most of the family should try writing about themselves and if they find no one wants to hear about them then they should look to doing something else besides using Michael's name. What that statement tells me is Jermaine was not in the loop about what Michael and his attorneys knew and planned otherwise he would not have come up with this lame plan…… If true. Something stinks about the timing of this article and what the real intent is. The family have made many plans for MJ, but after his break from the J5 he took them up on very few. Jermaine has a whole book of reminiscences, but this is what the author and ContactMusic came up with? Makes me think since Murray's Judge says his trial is not about 2005 but Murray, you folks are trying to give the Defense a little help with swaying the jury’s opinion. I guess we will know if this story ends up on TMZ, CNN, FOX or MSNBC.

I think Jermaine has no mind to come out with this story; first of all MJ was NEVER QUILTY OF ANY OF THOSE CHARGES! second of all: MJ wouldn't run! and third: u must be stupid to believe that MJ could go out from that building!I think Jermaine only wants to sell his book and all this is a big lie!

Poor Michael,His family is STILL trying to ride on his shirt tails. Jermaine, your 5 minutes of fame are gone, none of us want to hear your hoopla of lies intended to spark interest in fans in order to put money in your pockets. The fans of Michael knew him too well to believe his culpability in this matter or to think it plausible. As sad as it is to say .... greed and neediness are the things that drove the stake between Michael and his siblings and I personally think all the sibling books would disappoint him if he were here to see it.
