Jermaine Dupri Saves Home From Foreclosure
The star's luxury house in Atlanta was set to go under the hammer on 4 September (12) after Dupri reportedly fell behind with his mortgage, allegedly owing $193,000 (£120,625) in back payments.
However, Dupri filed an emergency motion with a local court asking for the sale to be be blocked, insisting he only owed $89,901 (£56,188), according to Tmz.com.
The website reports he paid the sum by the time the court motion was filed, so the house was saved from the auction block.
Dupri's lawyer, James Kane, says, "There was no foreclosure sale of the property... We are presently working with the lender to reconcile our disagreement over the (mortgage amount due)."
