Jeremy Renner Recalls Important Meeting With President Of Philippines
Production officials shut down parts of the city of Manila to shoot the action epic at the head of state's home, putting President Benigno 'Noynoy' Aquino Iii out of commission for nearly two months.
And Renner admits he felt so guilty, he paid a special visit to the politician to personally apologise for disrupting his daily life.
Showing a picture of their meeting during an appearance on U.S. programme The Tonight Show With Jay Leno, he said, "We were there to apologise. Well, you know, he couldn't really go to work for I think a month or two, because we closed down the only road to... get to the president's house.
"He let us shoot there and do what we did there, and we're very thankful."
