Jennifer Love Hewitt is happy being alone.

The 'Ghost Whisperer' actress - who split with boyfriend Jamie Kennedy in March after a year of dating - is currently not romantically involved with anyone and insists she is enjoying the single life, even though it is a new experience for her.

She said: "My love life is just me, and I'm very happy about it. I've not done the single thing very much, as you know, and I'm happy to do it."

Jennifer now enjoys lavishing her time and attention on herself, and is maintaining her fondness for genital crystal decoration - dubbed vajazzling.

She told E! Online: "I vajazzle more for myself, so I have that secret sparkle that no one knows about."

The 31-year-old star is currently using her new single lifestyle as inspiration for her new book - the follow up to her love guide 'The Day I Shot Cupid' - as she wants to teach people to boost their self-esteem outside of relationships.

She said of the new book: "It's going to be about loving yourself.

"I figured out in the last one I wrote a lot about how to get a man to fall in love with you but not very much about how, if you don't love yourself, that's not going to happen."

Jennifer's appreciation of her single status has been a gradual process as she recently admitted she prefers being in a relationship.

She said: "I don't like to go out to clubs and party. I'm not into, 'Let's go out with one guy on a Monday and another guy on a Wednesday,' that's just not me. I'm a relationship kind of girl. I like a twosome. Some people get excited about being single. I don't."
