Jennifer Love Hewitt is reportedly dating Jenny McCarthy's ex-husband.

The actress - who recently separated from her 'Ghost Whisperer' co-star Jamie Kennedy after a year of dating - has been on a string of dates with actor John Asher and is enjoying the attention he is giving her.

A source told People.com: "They are dating. They've been spending a lot of time together and are having fun. He showers her with attention and is helping her move on from her break-up with Jamie." 

The 31-year-old beauty is said to have met John - who has an eight-year-old son Evan with Jenny - when he filmed a guest appearance for an upcoming episode of 'Ghost Whisperer' earlier this year.

Jennifer recently revealed she thinks she will make a "good wife" and is keen to settle down and have children.

She said: "It's what life handed me, and I'm OK with it. I know wholeheartedly that I'm a really good partner. I think I'm a really good girlfriend, and I think that I could be a really good wife. I know that I love being able to give my love out to someone. I know there is somebody great out there for me.

"I'm a hopeless romantic. My middle name is Love. Valentine's Day is my favourite holiday. I want to have a family and children. I am a sucker for every romantic comedy that comes out."
