Jennifer Aniston kissed Barbra Streisand on New Year's Eve.

The 'Bounty Hunter' actress - who has paid homage to the singer-and-actress in a photo shoot for Harper's Bazaar magazine - admits the first night she met Barbra and her husband James Brolin, they gave her a joint kiss at the turn of midnight.

She explained: "I happened to be talking to her and Jim when it struck midnight. They said, 'Excuse us', kissed each other, and then, very politely, kissed me."

Jennifer decided to take part in the photo shoot - which sees her replicate Barbra in numerous shots, wearing costumes to look like her - because she is hugely inspired by her close friend.

She said: "Barbra inspires me because there isn't anything she hasn't done that she wanted to do, especially as a female in the time when her generation was prime. She's a true renaissance woman.

"I have no idea what people are going to think about it. Everybody has an opinion, it's just what people love to have. But that's okay. Art is so subjective, and people can react however they want."
