Jennifer Aniston once dated Jon Stewart.

The 'Switch' actress - who was previously married to Brad Pitt and has dated several stars including John Mayer and Vince Vaughn - was left red-faced after funnyman Jon brought up an awkward date they once had.

Speaking to the actress on his series 'The Daily Show', Jon talked about pair's date from over a decade ago saying: "I asked you out. And it was lovely."

However, he revealed things took an unromantic turn when the former 'Friends' star invited a group of her friends along too.

Jon said: "I remember you brought so many of your friends. And I remember thinking, 'She's so excited to be on a date with me, she wants me to get to know her posse.' "

Jennifer, 41, had a different version of events, saying: "If I remember correctly, wasn't it sort of like, 'Hey, a group of us are going out, do you want to join?' "

Jennifer recently revealed what her perfect date would be.

She said: "My perfect date would involve my new favourite TV show, 'Breaking Bad'. You sit there and order in food. You want that person you have common like-mindedness with."
