Rap star JA RULE blames his family's Jehovah's Witness roots for ruining his childhood. The I'm Real hitmaker reveals he was never allowed to celebrate birthdays or Christmases growing up - and even playing with other children was a problem for his strict grandparents, who helped raise him. As a result, the rapper, real name Jeffrey Atkins, goes overboard when his children celebrate birthdays and special occasions. He tells Sister 2 Sister magazine, "I had a difficult childhood. My grandparents were Jehovah's Witnesses, so, as a child I had to deal with no birthdays and no Christmases. "People don't understand... It's no Christmas, and it's no being outside with other children that are not in your congregation. It's a lot of rules that are hard on children." The rapper was "disfellowshipped" when he went to live with his mother and had been kicked out of the church for socialising with "worldly people", when he was 12. He explains, "When you get disfellowshipped, nobody's allowed to talk to you... They all treated my mom like this f**king outcast because she had some drinks with her co-workers on occasion... That f**ked with me as a child."

Dear Online:No one called you a predator because you "waited" to pounce on the opportunity to use inflammatory comments to describe Jehovah's Witnesses. And I won't. 1 Peter 2:21-23 (ASV) states "For hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, that ye should follow his steps: who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered threatened not; but committed [himself] to him that judgeth righteously" You may feel it is unfair that we have the same access to the Internet you do. You are free to believe what you wish, whether it be about going to heaven, Jesus or celebrating birthdays. These are religious BELIEFS. Many believe that sinners are going to burn in an eternal torment. Revilers are included in the group who will not inherit the Kingdom, according to 1 Cor 6: 9-10 "Or know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with men, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God." Coming to your home to discuss the Bible or offer you Bible literature is no more trespassing than the Girl Scouts coming by to offer you the opportunity to buy cookies. You can simply refuse. There are alot of misunderstanding about Jehovah's Witnesses and most of them come from either people who hear something negative and then classify it in their minds as fact or from people like Jeffrey, who have obviously become UnRULY in his conduct and therefore does not appreciate GOD's rules. The bible makes is clear that spiritual things cannot be understood much less appreciated by people who only view things froma physical persepective. So, if he wants to say that GOD's Rules are too strict for him, that is his choice, he's making the decision for himself and his children...it's no different that those of the past who refused to recognize our Creator's Right to Rule, where are they now? People that want to know the TRUTH about Christmas (Pagan Holiday) and Birthday Celebrations (only two examples in the Bible of such a celebration by Non-Christian Rulers) can go to the Library and check it out for themselves.The music, the money, the glamour...this is Satans World and he's Ruling your life Jeffrey (Rev. 12:9)Soon things will change and those appreciate the RULES of our Creator will benefit, those who don't won't. The only reason a person is disfellowshipped from any congregation is if he has committed a serious sin and does not repent or turn around from that course. That takes hunility and a love for Jah's Rules, not Ja Rules.

A cult is, for those that insist on using the word incorrectly "A religion or religious sect generally considered to be extremist or false, with its followers often living in an unconventional manner under the guidance of an authoritarian, charismatic leader." One is free to leave Jehovah's Witnesses any time they see fit - and some have. Others will. For that matter, why should those so inclined even care if they might become disfellowshipped for wrongdoing since they don't like the tenants of the faith anyway. Because an immoral person is disfellowshipped doesn't make Jehovah's Witnesses cultists because they adhere to Bible counsel. Nor are Jehovah's Witnesses extremists, but rather live rather conventional lives. Shunning by Jehovah's Witnesses is certainly not a death sentence,as many have been welcomed back who recognized their ways were not compliant with clear Scriptural counsel on adhering to Bible standards. Clearly Mr. Haszard does not aspire to meet them. God desires that all repent and gain life. We are not comparing disfellowshipping to Catholic excommunication. Jehovah's Witnesses have clear Bible-based standards - including the mandate to disfellowship those who are unrepentant after engaging in conduct that the Bible condemns (1 Tim 1:8-11; 1 Cor 5:9-13). To use a human viewpoint to discredit what God requires does not phase honest-hearted truth seekers. God's ways are better, higher (Isa 55:8-9). It is true that humans make mistakes, even Jehovah's Witnesses, who DO NOT CLAIM INFALLIBILITY. I do not believe that your mother was told to treat you as dead. Those are your words. Your mother, if she is a Witness, must rue the day you started developing a hatred for other humans. From the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. It is a fact that many Witnesses, most, eschew fellowship with those who are disfellowshipped. That too is Bible-based (1 John 11; 2 Thess 3:6,14). Sorry you disagree with that Bible standard.No matter how thin a pancake is, it always has two sides.Trachelizo

The Watchtower corporation (religion) is a black hole of plundering.They take...take member assets.There are up to a million elderly members with no retirement nest eggs because they put stock (faith) in the Watchtower's promise of Armageddon coming before they would ever grow old and need a retirement plan. Many of these 'old timers' never really took care of their long term health care like dental,diabetes,high blood pressure for the same apocalyptic mindset and now are in deep woe and some will die premature deaths.The 'other' religions do not pull this s**t with followers,the Watchtower cult is EVIL to the core.The very inception of JWs was based on Hate. They hate the world, they hate other religions, they hate everything about "this system of things."They are some of the most negative people on the planet. They can't stand the world or the people in it.They are a destructive cult who is anti-world, anti-society, anti anything positive. I wish JA RULE would have been asked to speculate on why so many rappers are reared as Jehovah's Witnesses -- THE NOTORIOUS B.I.G., KRAYZIE BONE and posse, BUSTA RHYMES, DMX, K-OS, XZIBIT, plus many more up and coming artists. The WatchTower Society says that it only has a little over 1 million members out of the 305 million people in the U.S., which would seem to mean statistically that only 1 in 305 rappers should be JW connected, or that only 1 in 305 superstar rappers should be JW connected. Could it be that the harsh negatives about the WatchTower religion, pointed out by JA RULE, are destroying the childhoods of many, many more people than just JA RULE?How many children whose lives have been destroyed by the Jehovah's Witnesses deal with such in far less constructive fashions than turning to rap? Maybe someone should bring all these WatchTower reared celebrities together to form a foundation to aid and assist the other former JWs who were not able to turn their lemons into lemonade. Maybe people at Contact Music and similar responsible businesses can also provide help get this going.

JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES 'R THE FAMILY WRECKERS OF THE WORLD The JWs are a cult because they try to cut you off from others who do not have the same beliefs, including family. The shunning by the Jehovah's Witnesses is considered a death sentence,it is more severe and practiced more widely than other churches. The Catholic excommunication is rarely done,and only means that you can't take communion for a while.When I was kicked out of the Jehovah's Witnesses for whistle-blowing on Watchtower corruption my own mother was ordered to 'treat me as dead'. See all cults like JW's have a shunning shame device to control membersEverything about the Watchtower's shunning protocol is twisted and demonic. The shunning by other religions for comparison is irrelevant as the Watchtower claims that it's disfellowshipping is at the direction of the holy spirit so it must be infallible.This is outright blaspheme.In just one year 1987 I calculated by the Watchtower's own stats that 4.4 men woman and children were disfellowshipped per hour as the world turned on it's axis. Who are Jehovah’s Witnesses? No TOLERANCE,the Jehovah’s Witnesses are a cult because they try to cut you off from others who do not have the same beliefs, including family. Yes,you can ‘check out anytime you want but you can never leave’,because they can and will hold your family hostage. This is probably what makes the Jehovah's witnesses religion so controversial in that they: PROMISE YOU YOUR REWARD IN THE HERE AND NOW. Like holding out the proverbial carrot to the donkey the watchtower promises it's followers an impending new system paradise coming any minute you won't grow old you won't need to save for old age retirement. The other religions have the good sense to promise you your reward AFTER YOU DIE and nobody has ever come back from the dead and sued for breach of promise. When the watchtower is made to be held accountable for their false promises and defaults thay just go and disfellowship (kick out) those who dissent.Religions can get away with this any secular business that did this would get their leaders put in jail for fraud.The Watchtower religion has busted a million followers and there are lots of angry ex members who won't go quietly. TRANSFUSION CONFUSION Simple fact-The Bible does not prohibit Blood transfusions.If you are bleeding to death it is more dangerous to refuse a blood transfusions than to take one. Bloodless surgeries are great if they can be elective.1/3rd of all trauma deaths are from blood loss. The Watchtower promotes and praises bloodless elective surgeries,this is a great advancement indeed.BUT it's no good to me if I am bleeding to death from a car crash and lose much of my blood volume and need EMERGENCY blood transfusion. Remember the Jehovah's Witnesses use thousands and thousands of pints of blood donated by others. The use 60% of the blood volume as broken down "fractions" then go on Bible thumping rants about how dangerous and sinful blood transfusions are. ( JW do allow organ transplants which has more risk than whole blood transfusions so their arguments of disease transmission is bogus)They are such HYPOCRITES!
