Jay Z - Jay Z To Curate His Own Two Day Music Festival
He's not far from ruling the world of music as it is, and Jay Z now seems set to make that clear after it was announced that the legendary rapper and massively successful entrepreneur is to curate his own two-day festival. So not only is he dominating music, he's now telling everyone else whether they're any good or not - sort of.
The expected announcement has been reported by The New York Times, who report that Jigga has been asked to curate the first ever Budweiser Made In America Festival. The two-day event is being produced by Live Nation and is expected to bring some 28 musical acts to Fairmount Park in Philadelphia on September 1st and 2nd and will be unveiled at a news conference later today.
It would be short sighted to expect that Hova would bring an all rap line-up to Philly; whilst having Kanye West as his good pal will undoubtedly fire up rumors that Yeezy could be in line to perform - plus the small matter that he's married to Beyonce - it's worth remembering that Hova's taste is hugely eclectic, suitable for a star who managed to cross boundaries by performing at the more traditionally rock and folk British festival Glastonbury back in 2008. Known to be pals with Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow, we could see Coldplay appear, or maybe even Linkin Park, who Izzo collaborated with during the first part of the noughties.
