Hip-hop mogul JAY-Z has teamed up with bosses of the New York Yankees baseball franchise to release a limited edition line of co-branded clothing.
The Brooklyn-born rapper scored a home run when his Empire State of Mind duet with Alicia Keys became an unofficial Big Apple anthem, and was adopted by Yankees fans as they cheered on the baseball team to win the championship last year (09).
Now Jay has signed a deal to lend his name to a line of baseball caps, T-shirts, hooded sweat shirts and other memorabilia that will be sold exclusively at Yankee Stadium from 30 August to 14 September (10).
The attire, which will include Yankees and Jay-Z logos, was created to commemorate the first official concerts at the new Yankee Stadium on 13 and 14 September (10), which Jay-Z and Eminem will co-headline - following the pair's two performances in Eminem's hometown of Detroit, Michigan on 3 and 4 September (10).
The deal isn't Jay's first venture into the sports arena - he's also co-owner of the New Jersey Nets basketball team.
