Jay Z - Did Jay Z Really Blast Miley Cyrus On Her Twerking Skills?
Not everyone is in love with Cyrus's twerking.
Miley Cyrus’s twerking skills may have impressed a surprising amount of people, but Jay Z wasn’t one of them, if the lyrics of Onlyinamerica are to be believed. The track, featured on Mr Carter’s brand new release Magna Carta Holy Grail seem explicitly directed at Miley.
Mr Carter usually has the final say on matters in the music business.
“Feds still lurking/ They see I'm still putting work in/ Cause somewhereinamerica/ Miley Cyrus is still twerkin', ha!' he raps before laughing to himself, before going into a bit, unmistakably directed at the We Can’t Stop singer. 'Twerk, twerk, twerk, twerk/ Twerk, Miley, Miley, twerk/ Twerk, Twerk, Miley, Miley, Miley, twerk/ Twerk, yeah, ugh-huh/ Twerk, Miley, Miley, Miley/ Only in America.'
Which includes Miley's dancing, apparently.
That hardly sounds like praise for Cyrus’s dance skills. Still, the singer seems pretty proud of her dancing prowess. After she posted a video of herself twerking in a unicorn onesie to the tune of J Dash’s Wop, the singer spoke to Ryan Seacrest about the reactions to her little venture into the world of twerking: 'I can't believe how many people think I'm good at twerking—which is dope—like my life goal has been accomplished,' she told the radio host. 'I thought it was so weird, but I'm glad that everyone understands my humour.'
Questionable life goals aside, apparently it’s not exactly everyone that gets it. Then again, even without Jay Z’s approval, Miley’s moves are apparently so beloved by her fans, that she even got to display them in her latest music video for We Can’t Stop. And thus the #mctwerkteam lives on.
Miley is still a proud member of the #mctwerkteam
