Jay Z - Jay-z Hits The Town After Birth Of Blue Ivy Carter
Jay Z has made his first public appearance since his wife Beyonce gave birth to their first child Blue Ivy Carter - stepping out at the re-opening of his 40/40 Club on West 25th Street in New York on Wednesday evening (January 18, 2012).
Dashing past the press on the red carpet, the music mogul quickly made his entrance into the club without saying a word and was soon joined by billionaire investment tycoon Warren Buffet and filmmaker Spike Lee. The director showed off his love for the New York giants, decking himself from head to toe in blue while sporting a Giants winter hat and vest. According to the New York Post, Jay Z left his wife and baby-girl at home in Brooklyn to attend the bash, but was no doubt inundated with questions about Blue Ivy. Drummer and frontman of The Roots Questlove, who also made an appearance at the bash, said he had no parenting advice for his friend, saying, "I'm here to show love. He can give me advice.I'm not even a parent yet - so he left me in the club alone". The Roc Nation boss mainly enjoyed the company of his close friends in the private areas of the crowded club, those others spotted milling around the venue included singer Ashanti, who added a dash of glamour to the opening in the absence of Beyonce.
Blue Ivy officially became the youngest person ever to appear on a Billboard chart, after her father released the track 'Glory' (featuring crying from Blue) following her birth 11 days ago.
