Jaws Cameraman Turned Dreyfuss Onto Booze

A camera operator on the set of shark thriller JAWS was partly responsible for RICHARD DREYFUSS' alcohol problems - because he introduced the actor to booze.
Dreyfuss, who has battled sobriety and is now clean and sober, insists his problems started on the set of Jaws.
He explains, "My first drink, all I did was vomit. My second drink was on the set of Jaws and (camera operator) Mike Chapman looked at me and said, 'What are you drinking...? I'm gonna teach you how to drink.' And he did.
"I remember four hours later, totally clearheaded, getting up and my legs stayed down. My torso got up and left but my legs stayed. I knew I was out of my mind!"
