Jason Segel Stars As Slacker Jeff, Who Lives At Home
Huffington Post describe the movie as "a stoner version of the new series 'Touch'" and, in an interview with Artisan News Service, Segal himself describes the film as having "an interesting tone; it's got quite a bit of comedy but it's also got a real sort of dramatic strain running through it. It's the kind of movie I love and watch over and over and over again." He goes on to praise the movie's scriptwriters, the Duplass brothers, describing them as "really, really gifted."
Segal recently made a name for himself, not only with the popular series How I Met Your Mother, but with his appearance in the recent Muppets movie, which he co-wrote. Huffington Post described him as "the face of really sweet comedy" and Segel confirmed that that's the kind of comedy that he loves the most. "I've always thought that you don't need to get laughs at other people's expense," said Segel. "That's easy. That's why I wanted to do The Muppets. That's why I loved them so much.
