Jason Derulo refuses to take a break from work as he recovers from a neck injury - he's taking piano lessons and writing songs for his next album.
The Whatcha Say hitmaker fell on his head while practising a high-energy routine for his show earlier this month (Jan12) and doctors discovered he had fractured a vertebrae in his neck.
Derulo, who scrapped his tour, was ordered to wear a protective brace as he recovers from his injuries, and he's now putting his free time to good use by taking piano tuition and working on a follow-up to 2011's Future History record.
He tells People.com, "I'm going to make another album while I'm down. We'll see what comes out of that. I don't know what it's called yet, but it's really inspired."
